Last weekend, as you know we had a long weekend from work and we went on an adventure. On of the things we did was go to a place called Ilala Weavers. The Zulu women sell their craft work their and have a restaurant. Of couse, we took the opportunity to have an amazing meal. The kids indulged in milk shakes...a rare treat in Africa for the kids...
Zulu shield and weapons...
We stayed at this extraordinary B&B in Mtubatuba about 3 hours from Appelsbosch-Wendy's Country Cottage http://www.wendybnb.co.za/ It was just like coming into someone home. When we arrived, Wendy greeted us all with a giant hug...it was so wonderful.

Shereena, one of Wendy's staff, found this adorable kitten. Of course the kids are longing for a cat since our 18 year old Shadrach died in the early Spring.
Wendy, Toni and their wonderful staff.
They treated us to a Zulu blessing song for South Africa.
Thank-you Wendy and Toni for some wonderful memories and embracing us like family.
